The main author is Giuseppe Baruffa, assistant professor at the Department of Electronic and Information Engineering,
University of Perugia, Italy. His research area encompass digital signal processing applied to television broadcasting systems (DVB-T) and,
more recently, image and video processing have become object of his studies. This is why there is PYUV!

The GUI has been coded using wxWidgets
in order to be as portable as possible to several platforms, i.e. Windows 32 bit,
Linux 32 bit, Solaris Sparc, and Windows CE.
