Federico Fiorucci

Federico Fiorucci was born in Siena, Italy, in 1981.

He graduated in Information Engineering at the University of Perugia, Italy, in 2004, and received the Master Degree in Information and Telecommunications Engineering in November 2007, with a thesis on JPEG XR subjective/objective quality assessment and comparisons with JPEG 2000.

He is currently studying towards his Doctorate Degree in telecommunications at the DSPLAB (Digital Signal Processing Laboratory) of the University of Perugia, working specifically on the field of image processing, multimedia transmission, image and video quality assessment and JPEG XR related arguments.

Ing. Fiorucci is currently participating in the EC funded project IST EDCINE 2006 "Enhanced Digital Cinema".
